There is no Ledger Live
online account.
Ledger Live is a self-custodial app. You unlock it locally with your app password or biometrics. Your keys remain protected by your Ledger device — and transactions require confirmation on that device.

Anyone asking for your 24-word recovery phrase is a scammer.
Ledger will never ask you to share it. Never enter it into a website, app, or pop-up.

Enter your app password
Use the password you chose when setting up Ledger Live. It decrypts local portfolio data — it is not your recovery phrase.

Connect your Ledger Nano by USB or Bluetooth, then unlock the device with your PIN.

For sending, swapping, or staking, review the details and physically approve the transaction on your hardware wallet.

Cloud accounts depend on credentials stored elsewhere. Ledger Live keeps your private keys offline and combines the app you know with the device you hold.
Even if a computer is compromised, an attacker can’t authorize a transaction without your physical Ledger and PIN. You remain in control.

Most access issues have a simple fix. Keep your recovery phrase private while you troubleshoot.
01 Forgot your app password?−
You can reset Ledger Live and restore accounts only if you have your recovery phrase. Without it, you’ll need to create a new wallet. Never share or type your phrase into a site.
02 Device not recognized?+
Try another USB cable or port, update Ledger Live, and check that the cable supports data. On mobile, check Bluetooth pairing and device permissions.
03 Device says it’s locked?+
Enter your PIN directly on the Ledger device. Three incorrect PIN attempts reset the device, so take care and make sure your recovery phrase is safely backed up.
